What I Did On My Summer (Blog) Vacation
Wow...it has been a long time! I took the summer off from blogging and from doing much scrapping. Although I missed the creative outlet dearly it relieved me of the pressure of feeling like I had to do it. And honestly, I couldn't have found the time if I wanted to!!
Rosie grew and grew all summer long and I don't think she's going to slow down any time soon. The summer was unseasonably cool and rainy, which slowed our house progress to a crawl. The driveway (road...really!!) is finally done, the house site is cleared, and we handed over our house plans to our builder just last night. He has us on his schedule for first thing in the spring. He said we could build over the winter, but in his honest opinion we wouldn't get as nice of a job with the weather issues and it's just not worth the compromise.
We took time out to go places (like the beach!!) and to just stay home. Sean built an awesome playhouse for Rosie. His next project will be a workshop up at the new house and garage site. He went back and forth on whether he was going to do it this year, but finally decided to go for it. He really needs a shop for his tools and equipment and it will be handy to have once the house build starts.
I'm sure I missed quite a few things in this summary, but I'll work on posting updates here and there in the future.
Stay tuned!!
